Marnie's Bio
MARNIE
BAUMER (aka the Blonde Baumer) is a critically acclaimed international
musical theatre actress, solo performance and voice over artist. She
played the title role of the Diva in MISS SIGN ON:THE UNTOLD
STORY OF A DIVA ON THE DOLE in both it's World Premiere at
the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008 and then Off-West End at the Warehouse
Theatre. She can also be heard on the original cast recording of MISS
SIGN ON. In 2007, Marnie was a co- host of Time Out London
Critic's Choice ALL THAT JAZZ! in London's West End
and revived her role as Itchy in ANGRY YOUNG TEEN-AGE GIRL GANG
in the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Baumer's other
credits include: performing her one woman show ANIMATO IN G:
A TRIBUTE TO WOMEN IN ANIMATED FILM in NYC, Chicago, &
Yale University. Performance Associates has optioned ANIMATO for development
into a musical theatre piece to reopen Off -Broadway of which Marnie
is currently writing the book. She also performs in many workshops of
new musicals, cabaret shows, ASCAP & BMI songwriter showcases and
demo recordings. Some theatre credit include: Moliere's THE
IMAGINARY INVALID, THE WINNER: A BROOKLYN FABLE
and GOLD RUSH!. Off- Broadway in NYMF she has appeared
in both TUSK A MUSICAL and ANIMATO IN G.
Baumer can also be heard on commercials for
VH1 & Jet Blue, among others, and was featured in performances at
The Covent Garden Theatre Museum in London, New York City Town Hall
and a duet concert at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
